Vlasta Kelemen
Vlasta's earliest recollections of mountains, flower-laden meadows, ever-changing blue skies and roaring Mediterranean waves have formed her sense of colour, rhythm and proportion. After training as a nurse, she and her family immigrated to Canada in the late sixties.
Her love of fine arts led her to experiment with different media, such as acrylics, oil and watercolour. Of the three, watercolour provided her with the fluidity and freedom of expression she desires.
She continues to take courses and workshops around the Guelph and Haliburton areas. She assimilates these newly acquired techniques without sacrificing creativity, balance and originality, with a dash of variation, gradation and spontaneity.
She is a member in good standing with the GCAA , COAA, and Associate Member with the Canadian Water Colour Society.
