Collingwood
Arts Jazz & Blues Festival 2011

The Collingwood Arts, Jazz and Blues Festival returns in 2011 to the roots of this popular

event. 2009 and 2010 were the first years for the event and drew 7,500+ people to

Downtown Collingwood each year.

The GEORGIAN BAY ASSOCIATION FOR CREATIVE ARTS (GBACA) Outdoor Art

Show, now in its 22nd year, will return with over 60 artists exhibiting in our fabulous

location at Pine St Parking Lot in the heart of Downtown Collingwood. Awards for Best in

Show and People’s Choice. “Art Demonstrations” were such a big hit last year they

will return along with the possibility of including “Dance Demonstrations”.

New this year, GBACA will be presenting the “Outside In” Art Show at the Blue

Mountain Foundation Arts Centre on Hurontario Street in Historic Downtown

Collingwood for the month of August.

Top ranked Canadian Jazz and Blues artists will perform over 3 days at the Downtown

Collingwood stages. You will see and hear the Future of Jazz, a youth event with the best

the under 25 players in the country, and the International Blues Challenge Tryouts, a

showcase/competition to select artists to represent Collingwood and Canada at the

world’s biggest Blues Competition in Memphis in 2012.
