Heather likes to paint in both oil and watercolour.
Favourite subjects include: gardens, ponds, statues, flowers, bouquets and
houses. She lives
with her husband Gary in beautiful Thornbury, Ontario.
In the beginning,
Sheila painted casually as she worked and raised a family. Her
priorities and fascination with art changed as the years passed. In moving to Wasaga
in 1996 she found a whole new world.
"There is no better place to live as an artist than here along the shores
of Georgian Bay. To express what I see and feel as I work with oil on canvas
gives me great pleasure and joy. Being able to share these feelings in my
paintings is a bonus.. My goal ? To follow the yellow brick road and enjoy
every step of the way..."
Joe says his love for
outdoor activity and discovering how beautiful it is up here inspired
him to show others how lucky we are to live in such a wonderful place.
He looks forward to every outing, whether it be skiing, snowshoeing,
kayaking, hiking, or biking. He knows there will be something new to see
and capture.

Eleanor
Brownridge has chosen glass as her medium because it is so dynamic --
always changing as reflected and transmitted light play with the colours
and textures. The sun moves across the sky and her translucent
sculptures and windows are transformed. Room lights bounce on the opaque
glass plates, bowls and masks. Visit her new studio in the Pretty River
Valley by chance or appointment and watch make stained and fusion glass
items.
Barbel creates
Handknitted, One-of-a-Kind Designer Scarves, using mainly European Yarns.
Her colourful glassware is handpainted and dishwasher-safe.
The Original Photo Art Notecards are created from her own photographs, some
are computer enhanced.
Barb also likes working with coloured sand to make her beeswax sand candles.
Since Barb is a certfied aromatologist, she loves working with essential
oils and other natural products to create her aromatherapy blends for people
and pets -- like natural glycerin soaps, hand-crafted body butters, creams,
lotions and environmental mists.
She lives with her husband Allan in beautiful Collingwood, Ontario.
Working in the
stained glass medium for over 20 years hasn't diminished Terese's enthusiasm
and, in fact, has prompted her to open her own studio and retail shop not
only selling her creations, but holding classes and workshops. Terese mixes
it up with an eclectic approach to stained glass to create functional, decorative
and whimsical pieces.
Bryan Davies is a professional Fine Art Photographer with a Studio in
Creemore. During his tenure as the Resident Nature Photographer at The
Kortright Centre for Conservation (near Toronto), Bryan had the
opportunity to serve as David Suzuki’s still photographer on an episode
of CBC-TV’s The Nature of Things. Bryan’s archival giclee images look
very much like impressionist paintings. Davies says: “Strong
photographic images must come from the passion that you feel in your
heart.”
Bryan’s unique style of expressive images has
been exhibited at L.E. Shore Gallery, Mad and Noisy Gallery and
McMichael Gallery as well as being published internationally. Bryan
hosts Outdoor Photography Workshops in Ontario and Adventure Tours to
Tuscany. Bryan has received awards from the Blue Mountain Multimedia
Festival and International Spider Awards.

Bonnie has completed the Drawing and Painting Program at Sir Sandford Fleming College. She is currently attaining her Visual and Creative Arts Diploma.
Abstract painting with acrylics, collage and the art of sculpting with wire are ways Bonnie loves to express the spirit of life. Bonnie has received juried awards for her wire sculptures. Her commissioned works have found homes across Canada and in Ireland. Dragonflies, butterflies, fish, whales, owls, loons, frogs, expanded hearts, circles, flowers, faces and spirit houses are often subjects abstractly expressed in Bonnie's work.

time resident of the Georgian Bay area who has encompassed the beauty of
the landscapes in her works. She paints in a variety of media, sizes and
subjects. Her works are hanging in the Parliament Buildings, Toronto Dominion

many notable artists including A.Y. Jackson and Jack Pollock.
I
enjoy creating whimsical Santa’s and old fashioned
Father Christmases. They have found homes in Australia,
Canada, Germany, Ireland and the United States. After retiring
from a banking career I decided to pursue my love of art.
I am self taught but have found some direction through lessons
with local artists such as Willie Wildman. I enjoy dabbling
in water colour, but I seem to have found my niche in oil.
Most of my work is focused on our beautiful Georgian Bay
and area where I have lived all my life, and I get excited
when I see the finished product coming to life.
I
believe the beauty of art is in the eye of the beholder,
and my goal is to have others see the beauty of my art.
Bonnie
Goudie was born in Markdale, Ontario. At an early age she liked to
"doodle" and sketch cartoon characters and animals. Although she never
pursued a career as an artist, her love of creating fine art was always
there. Bonnie works mainly with acrylic on canvas, but also works on
metal and wood. Her commissioned metal pieces are mostly painting on
antique cross-cut saws.
Bonnie's work is expressed in high realism where attention to detail is
an important aspect of her painting. Her goal is to transfer the viewer
to that exact place and time.
She and her husband Bill live on 26 acres near Walters Falls.
Pearl Hamilton is a

capturing the beauty of the surrounding landscape, old buildings, and
still life found in Grey County.

commercial artist in Toronto and Vancouver. Stevie paints on
consignment and for herself.
David
enjoys painting "pleine air", especially in remote or wilderness sites:
e.g. Georgian Bay and Algonquin Park, particularly in the off seasons.
He enjoys fly-fishing, canoe tripping and oil painting. Whenever
possible he combines these passions.
A
longtime Wedding and Portrait Photographer in Toronto and the Southern
Georgian Bay area, I have been painting exclusively in Watercolours for
ten years now.
For me, there
is something magical about the interaction of pigment, water and paper
-- what we plan is not what we get! Just as in life,
we start with an idea, design an expression of that idea, assemble our
imagination, enthusiasm and energy and begin. Then -- let go of the rope!
It is in the letting go that the magic happens -- in Watercolour and in
Life.
I paint in Toronto
and exhibit and sell at Visual Arts Mississaga twice a year, but most
of my work is done at Applegate Farm near Walters Falls.
Kathy Kerr is a long
time visitor to and resident of Meaford. She is one of the founding

painting trips with other artists that have resulted in friendship and
learning for all involved.

Taylor Ledden is a fifth-generation Canadian born
in Quebec and raised in Ontario. After retiring as a technical writer,
Taylor became re-acquainted with woodturning. This was triggered in part
by the gift of an old, hand-made lathe, and in part by a long-standing
love for unusual Canadian woods. These woods include lilac (beautiful
purple grain), birdseye maple, curly maple, Manitoba maple, British
Columbia yellow cedar burl, black cherry, black walnut, etc. He
occasionally uses exotic woods such as rosewood, cocobolo, and ebony.
After moving to the Georgian Bay area in 1995 I
was inspired by the rolling farm fields, as well as the rougher Canadian
Shield. It was then that I chose oil painting as a medium and started to
interpret my surroundings. I have expanded my interests from landscapes
into a wide range of subject matters, my flower garden being one of my
favourite sources. I have a great love for figurative drawing and
portrait painting and I have branched out into mixed media when I am
fortunate enough to have a live model. http://www3.sympatico.ca/tnlee/
Anne
retired from 30 years in Graphic art to finally having time to enjoy
painting the beautiful world around her. She paints in water colour and
acrylics.
In love with nature and the
colours of life, Karin prefers to paint Plein Air. Sun, wind and
sounds all enhance and echo in her trademark landscape paintings.
Manfred's interest in
photography started at age 12 when he became the official recorder of
family events on his first ever camera (a box camera with a hand crank).
Retirement is a welcome opportunity for Manfred to pursue his lifelong
hobby more actively and to share the visions he skillfully captures by
lens.

My passion is colour wherever I see it, whether in Arizona, Florida
or Ontario. For more than 50 years I’ve shared my love of the changing seasons,
animals, birds trees, seas through my paintings and photography. Every day
brings something new. Most of my paintings now are from photographs. If
you have a treasured scene or pet, I’d be happy to transform it into a painting.

Since retiring from teaching
at Seneca College's School of Fashion, Caroline has worked for some
years as a fibreartist in tapestry-crochet, as well as doing small,
richly coloured pencil studies on paper, but lately she has turned to
working in acrylics on canvas, larger, mostly, semi-abstract landscapes,
or almost totally abstract studies of colour and the brush stroke.

spirituality in its many forms, bringing peace into the world, and honouring
the Earth inspire me and my work. I offer a full assortment of
imaginative and unique creations, including
block prints, hand-made cards, fresh-water pearl and semi-precious stone
jewelry, watercolour and oil paintings, and multi-media wall decorations for the collector and gift giver.

My dream was to
become an artist. I immigrated to Canada in 1967 and started painting in
1991. I am mainly self taught but have had tuition from many art teachers.
I love to paint children at play, beach scenes and local scenery around
the Georgian Bay.

Valerie hand carves whimsical birds and fish.
She uses salvaged wood -- maple, beech, ash, apple, burls, roots --
crazy contorted pieces of this living material. Metal and many
layers of paint are the finishing touch on these fantastical
creativities.
"I draw my inspiration from many sources: the
waters and limestone cliffs of the Bruce Peninsula, the shores of Lake
Superior, and the thirty thousand islands of Georgian Bay. As I observe the
changing seasons and weather conditions, I am fascinated by the effects of
time and weather upon the earth's surface."

Releasing the passion that is inspired by the beauty of God’s world
drives Kathie Wright to expand her volume of work in watercolour and
acrylic media.
Kathie graduated from the Graphic Design program at Sheridan
College. In 1990 she began to see the potential for personal expression
using watercolour. Since that time she has taken courses from Kai-Liis
McInnes, Margaret Roseman, Jacques Hebert, and Zoltan Szabo.
As she continues to develop her skills, Kathie is very active in
the Georgian Bay Association for Creative Arts, the Blue Mountain
Foundation for the Arts, and the Wasaga Artists. She was awarded second
prize for a watercolour portrait in the Blue Mountain Foundation of the
Arts Juried Show, April 2006.
Flowers, landscapes, homes, portraits and still-life are all themes
for Wright’s watercolour palette. She is often asked to do commissions
such as house portraits that instantly become treasured family
heirlooms.
Kathie Wright’s work is on display at the Bluewater Gallery in
Thornbury Ontario.
